The history of Clark’s Equipment Sales & Rentals, Inc. (CESAR, Inc.) goes back 45 years to Burlington Colorado and a man named Wayne Clark.  Wayne began Clark’s Auto & Truck Sales as a family owned dealership that mainly sold trucks to farmers.  Through the years Wayne’s business evolved in response to the changes in the area.  The final change came when Wayne began buying and selling used equipment.  Wayne’s reputation for honesty and fairness has made Clark’s Auto & Truck Sales a household name in eastern Colorado.    Should you ever find yourself in Burlington, you will discover Wayne’s business still operating today. 

  Wayne had three sons and two daughters all but one of whom followed in their father’s footsteps.  The three sons have all owned and operated equipment yards throughout the state of Colorado and one of his daughters buys and sells used vehicles through the Colorado Auto Auction.  His oldest son Danny, opened Intermountain Auto, Inc. in Grand Junction.  A few years later, he too found success in equipment sales.  Danny died in 2004, but his son, Doug, moved his family from Oklahoma to Grand Junction and took his father’s place.  Doug’s yard is now known as Intermountain Truck & Equipment Sales, Inc.  In 1995, Wayne’s middle son, Lonnie, convinced his dad to expand.  They opened an equipment yard in Bennett Colorado.  Shortly thereafter, Wayne’s youngest son, Randy, opened a yard in Commerce City. Working together, father and sons kept the family business thriving.  Wayne did most of the buying, while Lonnie and Randy focused on the selling. 

  In 2002, Lonnie purchased the Bennett yard from his dad.  He opened what is presently Clark’s Equipment Sales and Rentals, Inc. (CESAR, Inc.).  Although, he now owns his own business, Lonnie still works closely with his father, brother and nephew. 

  Beginning small, Lonnie’s focus was on renting and selling used equipment and Temco Trailers. Over the last 6 years, his company has grown and expanded. A great deal of the credit for this expansion goes to his general manager, Bill Vance.  Since Bill began working for Lonnie, in 2005, CESAR, Inc. has become a dealership for: Montana Tractors, Modern Ag Equipment, and Hustler Mowers. 

  CESAR’s service department with Harlan Garner as Service Manager, provides superior maintenance and warranty work for all our Montana and Hustler customers.  Harlan and his staff also maintain all of our rental equipment.

  Lonnie continues his father’s legacy of honesty and fairness.  Customer satisfaction is the number one priority.  As a result of the additional dealerships and excellent staff, CESAR, Inc. is able to provide its customers with a quality buying and renting experience.
